Over the next week, I prayed and found a sense of calmness. I was ready to get this over with. I thought, if I have to have a chest tube, so be it. If I have a stroke, I’m in good hands. With my nerves under control, I can finally get back to how I typically feel and think. I’m usually the one saying it is what it is or what will be, will be. I just feel that we have to learn to roll with the punches and learn to adjust no matter what comes our way. After all, a movie I once watched did say, “life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you’re gonna get.” Little did I know then, the road ahead had many punches and many cherry filled chocolates (worst chocolates, ever)! The road ahead, was a very rocky road with many twists and turns. It was my road, but I certainly wouldn’t be traveling alone.
